TANZANIA RAISES TROPHY FEES

DAR ES SALAAM (December 13, 2004) – Tanzania has announced an across-the-board increase in trophy fees.

The Tanzanian game department says that for 2005, fees will rise by 20 to 25 per cent, depending on the species. Hunters who have booked safaris for 2005 are advised to contact their outfitter to see how the increases will affect the cost of their safari. To date, a detailed schedule of increases has not been published.
